We feel extremely passionate about sewing here at Minus Cloud Nine, our founder started sewing at 17 years old and hasn't stopped since. 

Our beginner sewing class, intro to Sewing is the perfect introduction! We will be running this workshop in 1/1 sessions or very small groups. We will get you understanding how to use the machine and which stitches to use for what. Practising sewing in straight lines, corners and curves and general machine usage such as winding a bobbin and changing the machine needle.

We’ll get you feeling comfortable will your machine, learning the basics and stitching up some great beginner Minus Cloud Nine products to build your confidence and learn new techniques. 

Once we feel confident to move onto the next stage, we can run a further workshop which will be into improver sewing skills where you can start a larger product such as a recycled tote bag. This will cover, lining, quilting, applique, embroidery and more fabric knowledge. 

WHAT’S INCLUDED

The class includes expert instruction, use of the Domestic and industrial machines, tools, threads etc, your pattern so that you can make again at home, plus tea, coffee and biscuits!
